Varian adds VARiS features

Varian Medical Systems has added new clinical management tools to its VARiS Vision radiation oncology management software. The updates include new Clinical Assessment and Dynamic Documents modules for paperless and filmless environments involved in treating cancer, Varian said.

The oncology informatics application has an enhanced user interface, and comes with standard templates that users can customize and autopopulate with existing data, as well as prompted activities that streamline workflow and guide clinicians through the treatment-evaluation process for each patient, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based firm.
