Agfa gets large Australian RIS order

Agfa HealthCare has signed an agreement with Queensland Health (QH) in Brisbane, Australia, for the supply and implementation of a statewide RIS spanning more than 30 Queensland Health hospitals.

The project is the largest and most geographically dispersed in Australia, according to the Mortsel, Belgium-based vendor. It will include the installation of the full suite of Agfa RIS modules at most major public hospitals across the state of Queensland, Agfa said.

The total value of the five-year deal will be in the vicinity of 5.8 million euros ($7.1 million U.S.), with a large proportion of the value coming from Agfa professional-services revenues, according to the firm.
