Medical print and informatics developer Ferrania Imaging Technologies will be demonstrating its LifeWeb RIS 2.1 at this year's RSNA conference.

LifeWeb RIS 2.1 is an enterprise-level Web-based RIS system that supports the integration of a brokerless PACS and RIS, according to the Cairo Montenotte, Italy-based firm.

LifeWeb RIS 2.1 has integrated speech recognition technology, remote access capabilities, and smart cards services, and is DICOM 3.0 Worklist- and HL7-compliant. It is cleared by the FDA and can handle booking, registration, exam scheduling and management, diagnosis, validation, statistics, and storage activities, Ferrania said.
