Healthcare information technology developer McKesson is set to bring its Horizon Radiology Manager RIS to RSNA.
The Web-based RIS software features integrated dictation and transcription, a department-level resource scheduler, complete management reporting, and HIPAA auditing, according to the Richmond, British Columbia-based vendor.
The product is based on Microsoft Windows and an Oracle database, and is accessible by most Web clients to provide anytime, anywhere access to a complete patient record, McKesson said. In addition, it has extensive HL7 support including billing interfaces.
The RIS is targeted at hospital radiology departments, integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or other multiple-facility enterprises, and standalone imaging centers. Horizon Radiology Manager provides full radiology departmental information management and workflow support, from departmental scheduling through reporting, and is available now, the company said.
