Impac posts profitable Q4, fiscal year

Radiation oncology information systems firm Impac Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA, reported net sales of $69.2 million for fiscal 2004, a 22.6% increase from the $56.4 million in net sales posted for fiscal 2003.

For the fourth-quarter period (end-September 30), the firm posted net sales of $18.9 million, an uptick in comparison with fourth-quarter 2003 net sales of $16.1 million. Still, net income for the quarter dipped to $794,000, from net income of $1.8 million reported for the same period last year.

For the fiscal year, net income was stated as $3.96 million, a slight rise compared with $3.88 million in net income for fiscal 2003.

In related news, Impac also reported confirmation from Nasdaq that it is in compliance with all criteria for continued listing, and that the "E" classification (which indicates a company is delinquent in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission) will be removed from its ticker symbol at the opening of business today.
