Breast center information systems developer Mammography Reporting Systems (MRS) will showcase its paperless MRS products at the 2005 RSNA show.

2005 11 17 17 27 28 706The Seattle vendor's Microsoft SQL Server-based application supports patient input of breast surgical history, risk factors, and hormone use via a tablet PC or PC kiosk. The data is sent directly into the MRS patient history database.

A technologist verifies or edits the patient history on a digital workstation or PC, and puts the exam into a "wait for findings" list. When the radiologist accesses the patient images from the work list on the workstation, the patient history in MRS is automatically synchronized and displayed.

The radiologist can generate an exam report in MRS via one-touch templates using a touchscreen, mouse, or integrated voice recognition. Reports are then sent to a RIS or PACS/EMR using HL7 and DICOM connectivity, the company said.

The product is available now.
