SDS lands North Valley

Healthcare document information management firm Smart Document Solutions (SDS) has signed an agreement with North Valley Hospital of Whitefish, MT, to implement its HealthPort electronic document management system (EDMS).

The product, part of Alpharetta, GA-based SDS's recent acquisition of Nauvalis Healthcare Solutions, allows for secure online access to paper-based and electronically created health information, according to the firm.

HealthPort provides for document capture, management, indexing, retrieval, viewing, and distribution, the company said. In addition, it manages the chart completion process, including electronic signature and physician notification from multiple departments such as radiology and pathology.
