Per-Se Technologies of Alpharetta, GA, has signed a deal to provide electronic prescribing transaction processing services to MediNotes of West Des Moines, IA.
Under the three-year deal, physicians who use MediNotes' electronic medical record (EMR) product will now be able to access Per-Se's Intelligent Network for enhanced pharmacy transaction processing services.
This access will help facilitate pharmacy and prescriber communications for electronic prescription drug orders and refill authorizations, and electronic prescription messages also will be transmitted electronically to payors via Per-Se's pharmacy network, according to the companies.
MediNotes clients will also be able to check patient eligibility data, benefit plan drug formularies, and patient medication history at the point of care.
