The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and its HIMSS Analytics division have selected Gregory Walton as senior vice president for both organizations.
Before joining HIMSS/HIMSS Analytics, Walton served on the Virginia Technology Task Force and now acts as an executive advisor to the Virginia Health Care Technology Council, according to the Chicago-based society.
Walton will be responsible for coordinating strategic planning coordination and enhancing relationships with healthcare organizations, HIMSS said.
