iSoft of Oxfordshire, U.K., has released its RadCentre radiology information system for real-time speech recognition.
RadCentre integrates SpeechMagic technology from Vienna, Austria-based Philips Speech Recognition Systems and features what the company calls Intelligent Speech Interpretation.
RadCentre is designed to recognize words and understand context, while also ignoring dialogue that is not part of the dictation. It also can implement dictated corrections and rephrase sentences. The software also can fill information into forms and format and organize text, such as adding section headings, numbering, and standard content to produce usable reports.
