Nuance Communications' Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions business unit has begun marketing its Enterprise Express speech system.
The Burlington, MA-based company's medical transcription technology recently completed a six-month beta program with several healthcare provider organizations. The trial tested Enterprise Express' ability to reduce transcription costs, speed medical report creation, and increase overall productivity and satisfaction of medical transcriptionists without adversely affecting physician workload or productivity.
The product's speech recognition technology is designed, among other functions, to translate each dictation into an accurate, formatted draft document for review. Drafts also have been shown to have enhanced accuracy due to improved free-form dictation, supported by a built-in medical language dictionary.
