eHealth debuts new migration service

Medical record services provider eHealth Global Technologies will be introducing its eHealthLoader service at next week's annual meeting of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in Orlando, FL.

eHealthLoader is designed to help facilities transfer patient images and/or medical records from an analog format or legacy IT system into an electronic information management system, according to the Rochester, NY-based firm.

In other news, eHealth has formed a technology alliance with healthcare appliance vendor MedCommons. Under the terms of the partnership, eHealth's clients will gain access to a continuity of care record (CCR) standard-compliant appliance for accessing and viewing referred patient records and images over the Internet, according to the companies.
