McKesson launches managed services program

Healthcare information systems firm McKesson of Atlanta has launched a new program to offer a portfolio of healthcare information technology services to customers.

Called Horizon Managed Services, the offerings include healthcare IT system design, system support, connectivity, and remote hosting. The program enables healthcare providers to share responsibility for IT projects with McKesson, so they can focus on healthcare delivery, according to the company.
