Computer giant Dell Computer of Round Rock, TX, is partnering with cardiology information systems firm Kardia of Rochester, MN, to combine their respective technologies.
Dell has designed a hardware platform to run Kardia's echocardiography information management system, including servers, storage, and desktop computers. Dell will also manage implementation of the technology.
Kardia's software enables echo labs to manage the scheduling of patients, lab personnel, and equipment, and also generate automated reports. The software was originally developed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
