Speech recognition and document management firm Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, has launched upgrades to two of its products.
RadCube will offer a Web-based business intelligence tool for advanced clinical data mining, analysis, and classification. The product from Nuance's Dictaphone Healthcare division is designed to drive trend identification and forecasting for better radiology and business decisions.
Nuance also unveiled version 5.0 of its Dictaphone PowerScribe for Radiology speech-enabled reporting product. The enhancements and integration capabilities are geared to support and improve the radiology workflow process, with a focus on accurate, comprehensive, and readily available clinical documentation.
Version 5.0 features enhanced voice recognition to reduce the word error rate by 35%. The new version also includes workflow engine advances to support multivendor RIS, streamlining workflow for sites that have disparate systems and operational processes.
