PACS and healthcare IT consulting services firm Exogen Solutions of Chicago has launched Blue Ocean, a real-time operational intelligence platform that helps hospitals and clinical departments collect, measure, and use key performance indicators, the company said.
Exogen is featuring Blue Ocean at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle.
Blue Ocean provides live, in-process operational performance metrics via aggregated data streams across the hospital enterprise. For example, the package will trigger an alert if a patient has been waiting longer than the hospital standard or if a report turnaround time may exceed patient care guidelines, Exogen said.
