Electronic medical record developer MediNotes has released an upgraded electronic health record (EHR) package for practice management, the West Des Moines, IA-based firm announced.
MediNotes Clinician Summer Release 2008 offers e-prescribing, patient portals, patient kiosks, image management, and Web portals. Upgrades include an interface between MediNotes Clinician PM and MediNotes e; easier template building; claims enhancements that create an audit trail and help ensure timely reimbursements; eligibility upgrades that reduce the potential for denied claims; payments applications that streamline data entry; and laboratory order enhancements that comply with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and make the data entry process more efficient, according to MediNotes.
