GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has launched a new clinical and medical device data package, the company said.
Centricity Enterprise Monitored Care was developed in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The application augments an electronic record using data captured from bedside devices in monitored environments such as intensive care units, cardiac care units, and emergency departments.
The application's Centricity Device Interface (CDI) connects with medical device gateways to integrate real-time clinical data within Centricity Enterprise, reducing time spent by clinicians on manual documentation, GE said. The package's Enterprise Flowsheet allows data captured from devices such as monitors and ventilators to be displayed alongside data on intravenous medications and fluids, intake and output, and laboratory results, according to GE.
In other Centricity news, GE has inked an agreement with Huntsville Hospital of Huntsville, AL, for the installation of its 6.1 version of Centricity Enterprise, GE said.
