Radiotherapy firm Accuray of Sunnyvale, CA, and oncology PACS developer Impac Medical Systems will collaborate on the integration of Accuray's CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system with Impac's Mosaiq oncology information system.
Using DICOM-based interface protocols, treatment plans and delivery information from the CyberKnife automatically will feed directly into Impac's electronic medical record. The configuration is designed to give clinicians enhanced access to patient and medical information for more timely and informed decisions.
Impac, also based in Sunnyvale, is a subsidiary of Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta of Stockholm.
