(Booth 5672) M*Modal will highlight new enhancements to its speech recognition technology, AnyModal CDS Live for Radiology, and will announce two major new developments at RSNA 2008.
AnyModal CDS Live provides speech recognition functionality in real-time, and is designed to capture and comprehend clinical information from dictation, according to the Pittsburgh-based company. AnyModal CDS Live works with existing hardware on any computer. When a physician finishes speaking, AnyModal CDS Live immediately returns the document for review.
Major announcements from M*Modal include a partnership with GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., for the launch of its Centricity Precision reporting application. M*Modal's technology comprehends the meaning of naturally spoken phrases in the context of the entire exam, and converts this understanding into clinical reports appropriate for precise reporting and documentation.
M*Modal is also announcing an adaptation of its speech technology to the Apple iPhone. AnyModal CDS Mobile was first launched at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) convention in October. The technology allows physicians with iPhones to use the company's speech recognition applications.
