(Booth 4800) Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC, plans to highlight integrated workflow, enterprise-wide image storage and management, and clinical visualization in its RSNA booth.
Impax Data Center remains the centerpiece of Agfa's push. The product is a vendor-neutral enterprise imaging infrastructure that supports open standards and can drive a facility's archive, access, and disaster recovery operations. Agfa touts the product as a highly scalable and fault-tolerant DICOM archive that provides large-scale multimedia storage for all types of medical images and diagnostic results. It also consolidates data from disparate systems into a single point of storage.
The company's work-in-progress Impax Data Center Viewer, powered by Xero, is a medical imaging viewer designed to provide access to imaging information at any point of care, regardless of location, platform, or rules. The viewer uses a Web browser and the Xero open architecture framework.
Agfa also will introduce a reporting product integrated with the SpeechMagic product, which is now marketed by Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA. Embedded within Impax, the software streamlines a number of workflows, such as dictate-edit-sign, correctionist, resident-attending, and digital dictation, as well as allowing at-home reporting and remote sign-off.
The company also will display its Web-based enterprise scheduling and planning solution, Impax Scheduling.
