Aspyra

(Booth 6610) In addition to its RIS/PACS, Aspyra of Calabasas, CA, plans to exhibit version 5.3 of its CyberRad RIS in Chicago.

Version 5.3 offers four new features. Its workflow read-only outside studies feature offers the ability to create orders for analog or digital studies from outside facilities to facilitate dictation, transcription, and report distribution of professional (read-only) studies. The software's department management dashboard and improved standard management reports feature add dashboard-type real-time views to help department or imaging center management monitor facility workflow.

In addition, an appointment confirmation and preauthorization verification worklists feature provides electronic workflow methods for confirming coverage, explaining protocols, completing demographic information, and documenting appointment of scheduled studies with patients prior to arrival.

For those providers that require preauthorization for certain studies, version 5.3 provides a preauthorization worklist that allows scheduling staff to acquire and manage preauthorizations. The new version's fourth feature is a coding review screen for ICD-9 coding prior to billing. CyberRad RIS version 5.3 is available worldwide this month.
