(Booth 4209) DR Systems of San Diego will exhibit the newest software release of its Unity RIS/PACS platform in Chicago.
Release 8.2 includes expanded applications on client-supplied hardware, critical results tracking, and DICOM structured reports. It also facilitates peer review in evaluating prior exam reports and diagnoses completed by other physicians, access through a Web browser to electronic medical record software, and monitoring of real-time performance of the RIS/PACS application and workflow activities.
Voice recognition capabilities in the software's "instant reporter" module now include the ability to access Dragon macro features, plus improved speed utilizing 64-bit systems.
DR Systems also will provide RSNA attendees with a glimpse at future releases. The company plans to demonstrate a zero-download, Web browser-based ultra-thin-client clinical review application
Release 8.2 will be available in the first quarter of 2009.
