(Booth 6254) eRad of Greenville, SC, will introduce new RIS functionality for its RIS/PACS platform at RSNA 2008.
The company's eRad RIS is the order entry, scheduling, reporting, and charge capture add-on to eRad PACS. Based on the earlier eRad Scheduler product, which provided scheduling tools to multisite imaging centers and other providers, eRad RIS includes billing system integration, transaction logging, results reporting, and automated report fax and e-mail notification.
The system includes HL7 interface support to HIS, electronic medical record, and other information systems. Clinicians can manage patient demographics, procedures, and schedules for multiple imaging facilities from a single user interface, according to the company.
