Fujifilm Medical Systems USA has launched its new flat-panel DR system, the FDR AcSelerate, at this week's RSNA show in Chicago.
With its increased thickness of the amorphous selenium layer, the FDR AcSelerate detector provides higher sensitivity and better conversion efficiency, according to the Stamford, CT-based firm. The x-ray component of the FDR AcSelerate features a fully automated table and upright system with a lightweight ergonomic design.
The FDR AcSelerate is not yet available for sale in the U.S. Expected availability is the third quarter of 2009, according to Fuji.
Fuji also announced that it has expanded its Synapse Managed Services capabilities to now include RIS hosting and tele-RIS capabilities. In addition, the company has partnered with Evolved Digital Solutions of Brentwood, TN, to provide hosted RIS and off site archiving to its customers.
