GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has unveiled an initiative designed to simplify physician participation in Medicare's Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI).
GE's Medical Quality Improvement Consortium (MQIC) quality data system was selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a reporting registry for the 2008 program.
The initiative will streamline quality reporting for Centricity EMR and Centricity Practice Solution customers who submit for eligible financial incentives through the MQIC registry.
GE also launched Centricity Business version 4.3 for revenue cycle management, patient access, and managed care for academic medical centers, hospitals and hospital networks, and large practices in the U.S.
New features and functionality include patient access, financial management, and business intelligence.
