Eclipsys acquires patient flow software firm

Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys has signed an agreement to acquire patient flow software firm Premise of Farmington, CT, the Atlanta-based company said.

The agreement, dated December 30, 2008, provides for a purchase price of $38.5 million cash. The transaction has been approved by both companies' boards of directors and is expected to close within the next 15 days, subject to customary closing conditions, Eclipsys said.
