Healthcare IT developer MEDecision has acquired healthcare information exchange firm HxTechnologies (HxTI) of Philadelphia.
The purchase allows MEDecision to embed HxTI's iHistory platform into its Alineo healthcare management platform and Nexalign health information exchange service, according to the Wayne, PA-based vendor.
The deal also includes HxTI's patent for the electronic management of patient authorizations to share health information, MEDecision said. Multiple pending patents are also included, according to the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
