Film digitizer firm Array USA has rolled out DICOM Scan Pro Plus, an upgrade for its 2905 laser digitizer. The upgrade features a set of image orientation tools, allowing for orientation of scanned images at the point of digitization, according to the Brentwood, NH-based vendor.
The product’s application tools allow for deletion of images incorrectly filed with scanned films, as well as undeletion to assure that images sent to a PACS network are correctly associated with the patient. In addition, DICOM Scan Pro Plus includes Moiré filtering for radiographic films that exhibit high incidence of grid lines, and the product also has editing features and a series of log file tools, Array said.
