Monitor distributor Quest International introduced its MD series of medical flat-panel displays at the 2002 RSNA meeting in Chicago. The liquid crystal displays (LCDs), manufactured by partner Totuku, include 11 offerings ranging in resolution from 1.3 megapixels to 5 megapixels.
The Irvine, CA, firm highlighted Totoku MD203L, a 2-megapixel, 20.1-inch grayscale LCD that can employ a Dome MD2 or Barco 2MP video card. MD203L offers native resolution of 1600 x 1200 and a high contrast ratio of 1000:1, according to Quest. The company believes the display is appropriate for institutions looking to convert from CRT to LCD displays.
Another LCD, MD511L, is a 5-megapixel, 21.3-inch display with a native resolution of 2560 x 2048 or 2048 x 2560 (viewable in both portrait and landscape orientation). Available in a single or dual-head configuration, MD511L includes luminance and gamma curve correction capability, Quest said.
