Agfa HealthCare has taken a minority position in Italian RIS developer Med2Rad of Macerata, Italy. Mortsel, Belgium-based Agfa has marketed and sold the Med2Rad Elefante RIS in the Italian market as part of an integrated RIS/PACS and as a stand-alone RIS system.
The move allows greater integration between Agfa’s Impax PACS and Med2Rad’s RIS product line, said Giovanni Chiodini, Agfa HealthCare manager of informatics in Italy.
