Digital Manifestation of San Jose, CA, has released PocketIRIS, a medical image visualization software package for Pocket PC devices. PocketIRIS provides clinicians with access to full-fidelity DICOM images, simply by synching the Pocket PC unit to a workstation, according to the vendor.
The clinician can choose the images they want stored for future reference. Users can also employ image analysis tools such as window/level, pan, zoom, and system overlay to help in point-of-care decisions, Digital Manifestation said. A screen-capture feature enables the storage of optimal viewpoints for later reference.
