SAN DIEGO - Archiving services firm InSiteOne of Wallingford, CT, has launched InDex Web, a digital image storage program, managed and hosted by telecommunications firm Sprint of Kansas City. InDex Web allows healthcare providers to send and receive digital medical images to healthcare providers’ desktops over the Internet.
The InSiteOne Web application is hosted at Sprint’s Denver-based e-solutions center. At the center, images received from an InSiteOne RAID-based local-site archive are then sent over the Internet to the requestor. InSiteOne also utilizes Sprint’s security services for data submitted via a healthcare provider’s virtual private network through the InDex Web application. Images are then permanently archived at InSiteOne’s redundant data centers, where they can be accessed for future use.
