ContextVision of Randolph, VA, has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its SharpView stand-alone PC-based image enhancement workstation. SharpView consists of image enhancement software that can be installed in any PC that is connected to the Internet and that can send and receive DICOM Images.
The software is used to upgrade image quality in MRI, ultrasound, and general x-ray. The application was developed in ContextVision's Linköping, Sweden headquarters. The company also said that SharpView reduces MRI scan time.
