GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, and EMC of Hopkinton, MA, are collaborating to provide storage solutions for GE’s Centricity Radiology and Centricity Cardiology PACS platforms. A global reseller agreement between the companies enables GE to offer the full range of EMC networked storage systems and software to its healthcare customers.
Under the agreement, EMC becomes a primary provider of automated networked storage systems and software for GE Medical Systems. GE will offer EMC’s Symmetrix, Clariion, and Celerra networked storage systems and software, including EMC’s ControlCenter and PowerPath. GE has also integrated its Centricity Enterprise Archive with EMC’s Centera content-addressed storage systems.
According to GE, UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, NJ, and Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, OH, will be implementing the new technology.
