Consulting firms R.L. Johnson & Associates and The MarkeTech Group have released a PACS market report covering installed base and sales information for the U.S. and Europe. The report includes installed base information through 2000, broken down by workstations, teleradiology, modular systems, low-cost systems, and filmless sites.
The report, priced at $3,000 for either the U.S. or European markets or $5,000 for both, includes installed base and sales data from vendors representing approximately 60% of the market, according to R.L. Johnson & Associates of Tracy, CA, and MarkeTech of West Sacramento, CA. In 2000, these vendors sold 733 PACS networks and account for 2009 installed systems, the companies said.
