Healthcare information systems firm Eclipsys has added two PACS industry veterans to its ranks. Mike Valante has joined Eclipsys as director of the Boca Raton, FL-based firm's Knowledge-Based Diagnostic Imaging integrated image management offering.
In his new post, Valante will direct the business as well as U.S. sales initiatives. Valante previously worked for First Consulting Group, and also served as manager for North American client development at Philips Medical Systems.
In another hire, Eric Mahler has joined Eclipsys as a sales director for Knowledge-Based Diagnostic Imaging. Mahler, who previously was North America marketing manager for PACS at Philips, will handle marketing programs as well as sales initiatives in the western U.S.
