PACS firm StorComm of Jacksonville, FL, is participating in a two-year pilot project designed to use information technology to help deliver healthcare to low-wage, uninsured individuals in northeast Florida.
StorComm will make its PACS software applications available to hospitals participating in the project. JaxCare is designed to electronically link healthcare and social service providers so they can provide healthcare more efficiently to people who can’t afford commercial health insurance but who make too much to be eligible for Medicaid or other government programs.
