PACS software developer Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, and medical device manufacturer Medtronic of Minneapolis have signed an agreement by which Cedara will develop software for Medtronic’s Universal Navigated Orthopedics program. Cedara has completed a non-CT-based application for the planning and surgical navigation of total knee replacement procedures as part of the development deal. Cedara will work with the Surgical Navigation Technologies division of Medtronic, according to the companies.
