Digital image management provider SmartPACS of Irvington, NJ, has inked a deal to provide a hospital-wide image and information management system to NYU Downtown Hospital of New York City. The installation is scheduled to begin next month.
SmartPACS will connect all modalities at the hospital and will install PACS workstations with online and archival storage, CR systems, DICOM-based CD-ROM burning workstations, and laser imagers and paper printers. The company will also provide HL7 integration with a RIS developed by SmartPACS’ software partner, Infinitt of Seoul, South Korea.
