Archiving provider EMC will provide 128 terabytes of its Centera content-addressed storage (CAS) to the North Bronx Healthcare Network (NBHN). NBHN, one of six regional networks established by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, has also acquired another 30 TB of EMC networked storage, including the Hopkington, MA-based vendor's Symmetrix DMX for a storage-area network and Celerra NS600 for network-attached storage (NAS).
The firm's ControlCenter open management software will be included, EMC said. Centera, used along with Agfa HealthCare 's Impax PACS network, will serve as the long-term repository for cardiology and radiology images, .wav and .jpg files, and other media, EMC said.
