Philips Medical Systems displayed two new PACS products at last week's Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology in Boston. DX.Net, an extension of the vendor's CL.Net clinical workstation software, is a thin-client complement to the firm's EasyVision DX diagnostic workstation software.
The Bothell, WA-based vendor also showcased its Diamond PACS architecture, which allows customers to purchase a single PACS network to support both radiology and cardiology. Diamond includes the firm's Xcelera platform, which provides users with a diagnostic viewing environment for interpretation of cardiac catheter and echocardiography images, Philips said.
In other SCAR developments, Philips discussion expansion of its Unique computed radiography image processing package. Initially available with its DigitalDiagnost system, the multi-scale image processing software can now be used with all Philips' digital radiography systems, according to the vendor.
