Agfa closes deals in Belgium, Luxembourg

Agfa HealthCare has received large RIS/PACS and CR orders from seven hospitals in Belgium and Luxembourg. The deals include products inside the facilities, as well as in their surrounding care networks.

The university hospitals AZ Brugmann in Brussels, Belgium, and AZ Damiaan in Ostend, Belgium, will install hospital-wide digital imaging systems with CR, PACS, and RIS provided by Agfa over the next five years, according to the firm.

In addition to the Belgian installs, two Luxembourg hospitals have decided to extend their existing infrastructure with Agfa products. The HĂ´pital Kirchberg in GrĂ¼newald will install the firm’s ADC CR solutions, including CR mammography, and its RIS/PACS solution. The Centre Hospitalier du Nord has asked the firm to connect its Impax PACS to an existing RIS and has decided to expand its ADC CR infrastructure, Agfa said.

According to Mortsel-Belgium-based Agfa, the value of the order totals approximately 6 million euros ($6.8 million U.S.).
