Ferrania lands large U.K. RIS/PACS deal

Ferrania Imaging Technologies has received a contract to supply the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust with its LifeWeb integrated RIS/PACS network. As part of a seven-year managed services contract, Ferrania will migrate the hospital system’s film-based department into a digital, nearly filmless system within 12 months, according to Ferrania of Cairo Montenotte, Italy. The hospital system consists of three acute teaching hospitals and a small community unit.
