Agfa HealthCare of Mortsel, Belgium has completed a multisite RIS/PACS installation at four hospitals on Reunion Island. The project connects more than 30 modality scanners installed at the facilities, with each site conducting between 50,000 to 85,000 examinations per year, according to Agfa.
The healthcare centers will distribute patient images and data over a radiofrequency network called PIRES, offering the possibility to share patient data and to communicate with medical centers on the neighboring islands of Madagascar, Mayotte, Mauritius, and the Seychelles.
