PACS provider StorComm of Jacksonville, FL, has signed an agreement with St. Petersburg, Russia-based Petromed, which will serve as an exclusive distributor/integrator for StorComm’s software in Russia. The companies said they would also work together to further develop the interface between Petromed’s hospital information system (HIS) and StorComm’s PACS network.
The first joint implementation project will be at the Medical Military Academy in St. Petersburg, where the firms will install a central image repository and database, high-speed local network, diagnostic workstations in all clinical areas, and clinical data distribution system for access to patient information and images throughout the five-location enterprise.
