ComMedica is bringing its I-PACS Web-based integrated RIS/PACS to Chicago.
London-based radiology informatics developer ComMedica will be showcasing its I-PACS Web-based RIS/PACS solution for hospitals and imaging centers at this year’s RSNA conference. The PACS portion of I-PACS consists of a PACS server, DICOM broker, and image viewer workstation.
The product is built around a dual-Xeon 2-GHz chipset with 2 GB of RAM, an 18-GB level-1 RAID storage component, on a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server or Apache 2.047 operating system. In addition, the firm offers full voice recognition capabilities with the application, as well as a transcription-reporting module.
The I-PACS product, targeted toward hospitals, imaging centers, and radiology service providers, is currently being installed at locations throughout the U.K. U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance is currently under application at the agency, ComMedica said. The firm offers pricing options on I-PACS that include a fixed license fee, a monthly lease, or a per-patient click fee structure.
