Rogan expands PACS offerings

PACS firm Rogan Delft will be rolling out a range of new digital image management technology at the 2003 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

Rogan’s new archiving suite, OnLine Archive, replaces the Veenendaal, Netherlands-based vendor’s HyperArchive offering and consists of Entry Model, XS, CXS, and DXS model.

CXS and DXS, which are based on Rogan’s Everything On Line and MASS technology introduced last year, are designed for small to enterprise-wide applications. The vendor’s Entry and XS models are targeted for modality-based archiving and small clinics.

Rogan Delft said that its technology allows for application service provider (ASP) models. In addition, Rogan Delft can incorporate DICOM archive technology from other vendors, allowing institutions that have gone partially digital a growth path to invest in a non-proprietary, open system, the company said.

The company will also showcase its work-in-progress View Pro workstation, which will include several new features upon its release in the first half of 2004, Rogan Delft said. A new graphical user interface (GUI) features improved user-friendliness, including requiring fewer mouse clicks and the addition of more automated hanging protocols. IHE profiles have also been added to the system, the vendor said.

Also on display will be the vendor’s WebView 3.0, a Web-based viewing station capable of working with high-resolution monitors. Among other highlights is Verify Pro, a module that can be installed on the OnLine Archive. Verify Pro automatically detects if a study is entered correctly when it’s sent to the archive. New software for the QC station is available to view and correct these studies, according to the vendor.
