Medical imaging graphics card developer Matrox Graphics and MeVis Diagnostics, a subsidiary of MeVis Technology in Bremen, Germany, have partnered to deliver an OpenGL-based implementation of MeVis' MD-Jade diagnostic software application to the medical imaging market, according to Montreal-based Matrox.
The technology integration of Matrox’s MED-Series with OpenGL allows the MeVis software to run faster and more smoothly in both 2-D and 3-D grayscale, regardless of the display used, MeVis said.
