Eastman Kodak Health Imaging and Rochester General Hospital, both of Rochester, NY, will partner to replace film- and paper-based radiology products in the institution with digital imaging and information system technologies, according to Kodak.
The first wave of equipment to be installed in the facility’s radiology department will include Kodak’s RIS 2010 and DirectView PACS System 5, as well as CR and DR products, Kodak said. In addition, Rochester General will serve as a development site for the RIS 2010 product, the company said.
The new medical imaging site at Rochester General Hospital is expected to commence operations in the second quarter of 2004, according to Kodak.
